Adam Paulek is a Professor of Art at Longwood University. Born and raised in Iowa, Paulek holds an MFA from the University of Tennessee and a BA in Art from Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa. His work, which explores form and imagery in ceramics, has been widely exhibited, including at Guldagergaard International Ceramic Research Center (DK), Akar Design, and the Smithsonian Craft Show.

He was awarded the "100 Cup Artist In Residence" at Guldagergaard – International Ceramic Research Center in Skælskør, Denmark. Adam has also been awarded residencies at the Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts in Maine, the Hambidge Center in Rabun Gap, GA, and Maison Des Métiers D'Art in Quebec City.

On most days you can find Adam, along with his wife Anne Tyler, managing a 50 acer horse farm called High Bridge Stables in Farmville Va.
